Abstract: In his early works such as L’Enterrement de « La Quotidienne » and La Discorde descend sur terre, Nerval alludes to different sources, that today’s readers don’t always easily guess. This article aims to show from which works come a ridiculous ode of La Harpe, two lines by Scarron, a word from Boileau and the expression le vestibule de l’enfer, and to complete the interpretations given so far.
