Abstract: In his travel accounts, Nerval is attentive to variations in French. We think of a German woman who fills with neologisms, of the descendants of Protestant refugees who retain the language of the 17th century, or of Belgians whose linguistic peculiarities already struck tourists. If our author is interested in this aspect of language in this way, it would not be surprising if he introduced regional words into Pandora. This is what this article tries to show.
