Abstract: The Histoire de la reine du matin et de Soliman, prince des génies constitutes a particularly interesting case of the work of re-invention so dear to Nerval. This rewriting takes place in the wake of a volcanological imaginary which is very contemporary, and of a lithic which designates, through an hybridization of forms, a troubling anti-Creation. Maybe the novel is not (only) in this story where it is expected to be.
