Abstract: The window, that format like a blank page or canvas, has served painters and writers as a frame and a tool to bring us closer to the outside world and our own inner selves. This space represents the antithesis between the confinement of human beings and their desire for freedom. The symbolism of the window opening outwards and the window looking inwards will be the subject of this study in French-language poetry in times of pandemic.
