Abstract: Mallarmé's poetry and its genesis in the ‘deep’ of the Unconscious are analyzed, through a new original model of psychocritics, as a specimen of modern lyric. It, in the kaleidoscopic phantasmagoria of its meanings - a metaphor of poetry, and at the same time its essence - appears as the elective poetic universe for an in-depth understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of the genesis and birth of a poetic text and of the mystery of beauty tout court.
