Abstract: This article analyzes the work of several poets and multiple poetic trends between the 1950s and 2019, going back to Portuguese modernism and the heteronymic figure of Pessoa. Whether loved or hated, Pessoa is canonical. Between the extinction of the avant-gardes in the 1980s, nomadism, and irony, the poetry of “today” lays claim to a protean subject matter.
