Abstract: This article treats the Civil War in Lebanon through Vénus Khoury Ghata's writing experience. This requires to bring out the stakes of her situation as migrant Lebanese writer living in Paris determining a look changing her poetry which has always been directed towards her motherland. If she had stayed in the cedars’ country neither the look from France on her Lebanon, ravaged by the war, would have been the same, nor her writing, as she asserts in several interviews.
