Abstract: Yves Bonnefoy's poetry is about the search for a place, the poet's beloved place where poetry originates, an Inland place. Where is this place? Bonnefoy relates it to the situation of the language. It is the very place mentioned in the last section of his most important collection of poems, Of the Motion and Immobility of Douve.
