Abstract: This paper analyses the French poems in Allegria di Naufragi, recalling Ungaretti’s links with the avant-gardists he frequented while in Paris and highlighting intertextual relationships with poems by Baudelaire, Poe, Gérard de Nerval, Apollinaire, Breton and Salmon.
