  • Abstract: This article takes another look at the history of Dante studies, from Claude Fauriel and Frédéric Ozanam to the present day, studied from an institutional point of view, which allows us to describe the history of French Italianism. Accurate citations are provided for recent research and translations. The article is followed by an anthology of translations of the first two terzine from the Divine Comedy.
