Abstract: This article relates the text of the four poems by Proust in his Portraits de peintres from the collection Les Plaisirs et les Jours, recited by Charles le Bargy on May 28, 1895, in Mme Lemaire’s salon, with their musical production by Reynaldo Hahn—a joint performance that evokes the imaginary of the works of Flemish painters.
