Abstract:La Recherche contains several accounts of dreams, including the famous dream of Swann. This study reflects on the ways the modern reader can analyze these dreams, marked by a search for realism that paradoxically gives prominence to absurdity. The dream narrative is a symbolic text to be deconstructed. Recourse to comparison with anecdotes highlights some of the characteristics and shared functions that shed light on the autonomous text as well as its relationships with the work as a whole.
