Abstract: In the course of his work on Proust’s Correspondance, Philip Kolb made numerous discoveries about the process of Proustian creation. Kolb’s discoveries have furthered our knowledge of Proust’s work in three particular fields: the author’s rapport with his work, the construction of his characters based on multiple models, and the panoramic structure of the novel.
