Abstract: Rachilde was a French writer who developed her literary career from the late 19th century to the early 20th. Famous due to her success of her novel Monsieur Vénus (1884), Rachilde developed the deconstruction of the cisgender heteronormative system in most of her novels, showing through her characters not only the multiple possibilities among sex/gender/sexualities but also the non- static of gender identity and/or expression.
