Abstract: The studies collected here show the many sides of the humanist encyclopedist, at once poet, translator, editor, philosopher, and physician. Pontus de Tyard’s writing demonstrates his insatiable curiosity and makes language the instrument of choice for exploring the world, through “errors” and imaginative wandering.
