Abstract: In Malagasy culture, we can recognise the existence of different worlds inhabited by beings whose physical traits correspond to the natural environment, whether they are celestial, of the air, or aquatic. They are highly prevalent in the oral literature which conveys the vision of the Malagasy world. By studying these creatures, this article analyses the fundamental structures of these tales and their connection with the Malagasy world.
