Abstract: The article deals with the issue of persuasion from a comparison between two passages taken from a text by Victor Hugo entitled Claude Gueux. The hypothesis advanced is that the organization of contents is of a similar nature in both passages so that it is only from an enunciative standpoint that the passages are distinguishable.
