Abstract: In October 1871, Rimbaud inscribes the sonnet "Paris" within the pages of the Album zutique. This essay shows how a more precise analysis of the Parisian context behind the poem, as well as the discovery of a contemporary article of a central figure of this poem - Robinet -, will allow us to better understand the logics and plays of signification of this otherwise disorienting text, which constitutes a crystallization of Rimbaud’s poetic output as such in late 1871.
