Abstract: According to Rimbaud, the poetics of prose partakes of the search for a maximum individuation of the language forms. It is set in the field of the rising symbolism, and at the same time it rejects all the styles of the epoch, even the most “modern”. It tends to note in the writing the forms of a voice which is both subjective and trans-personal. Nevertheless, it stands up for reality against the narcissism of the echo, and it takes the hope of a “pas gagné” (“yard gained”) of poetry into existence.
