Abstract: The complexity of neology is amplified by its terminology. Far from conforming to the univocity principle, terms used often have one or more synonyms or quasi-synonyms. Others seem to be synonymous but represent different concepts. Finally, some concepts have not yet been given a specific name. While not claiming to fully list all the terminological difficulties of neology, this article describes some of them.
