Abstract: Adopting both an onomasiological and a semasiological approach, this article identifies and describes some neologisms used in the field of renewable energy between 1990 and 2016. The corpus consists of academic articles, laws, government reports, etc. Then attention is focused on the analysis of the results, mainly on the neological syntagms of the type Name + Adjective, with modeling using ECL lexical functions from Meaning-Text Theory.
