Abstract: Sponsored by Marguerite of York, the French translation of Vision de Tondale plays with generic boundaries to adapt to the political and cultural programme of the Burgundy court. It presents itself as a « mirror for princes » by associating the figure of the hero with that of Charles le Téméraire, but this visionary tale also amplifies marvellous motifs in order to align itself with the model of the chivalric romance favoured by the Burgundy court.
