Abstract: When Marcel Proust and Reynaldo Hahn met in 1894-1895, the former was writing Les Plaisirs et les Jours (Pleasures and Days) and the latter was orchestrating L’Île du rêve (The Island of Dreams). From then on, the two artists’ careers were constantly intertwined.
