Abstract: The eleventh edition of LiCArC (Littérature et Culture arabes Contemporaines), entitled Poétique du lieu fictionnel dans le roman de la Péninsule arabe (The poetics of fictional place in novels from the Arabian Peninsula), explores, in a still little-known corpus of fiction, the status of the tangible place, “an essential coordinate [of] representations of the real, material and social, as much with regards to semiosis as to mimesis” (Mitterrand: 2009).
