Abstract: Fouad Laroui’s feeling that he does not belong anywhere leads him to create, through autofictional novels, culturally ambivalent characters who pass judgement on both their countries of origin and host countries. Catharsis is achieved through a caustic and black humor that is used to denounce, to look at society with a critical regard, and expose what is troubling.
