Abstract: Abstract: The tenth issue of LiCArC, entitled Fiction et art au secours du réel : l’engagement des artistes pour une société inclusive et égalitaire (Fiction and art rescuing reality: Artists’ commitment to an inclusive and egalitarian society), continues the examination of the theme of sociopolitical commitment in response to disorder and unrest in contemporary Arab society. This volume presents politically committed artists whose works variously denounce iniquitous or alienating norms, or create a subversive world characterized by a freedom bounded only by their imagination.
