Abstract: This publication aims to examine the question of the body from a transhistorical and multidisciplinary perspective, considering deregulation and disorder as factors of identity evolution and reconstruction. It deals with the representation of the body in its legal and linguistic dimensions, dedicating particular attention to the contemporary novel, which imbues it with a specific status, at the heart of changes in modern fiction.
