Abstract: Translators of recipes encounter many translation problems. They should have distinctive and persuasive written to transmit not only the words, but also the tastes and scents. This paper will discuss the translation of cookery books and try to answer the following question: What translation problems arise when translating cooking books to Mediterranean consumers?
