Abstract: This volume presents 145 letters, unpublished for the most part, written by Voltaire to his niece Marie-Louise Denis, née Mignot, between 1737 and 1744. This personal correspondence sheds new light on Voltaire’s private life and on his works of this period, notably Mahomet.
