Abstract: The Three Glorious Days affirmed a remarkable continuity not only with the 1814 Charta but also with the men of the Restoration. The presidents who framed the Three Glorious Days, both before and after, only exercised the presidency of the Chamber by default, while waiting for an important executive function – the presidency of the Council for two of them. This testifies to the nature of a representative rather than a parliamentary political system.
