Abstract: One of the most important topics of F. Perroux’s work relates to the effect of domination and the concept of power. The study explains how Perroux developed these concepts since the article of 1948 (“Esquisse d’une théorie de l’économie dominante”), on the levels at the same time theoretical and empirical and underlines the innovative character of the conceptions related to asymmetries, domination and power. The study shows in what and why these conceptions precede researches carried out half-century later in the Anglo-Saxon countries, with the neo-realists, neo-liberal institutionnalists and “strangian” approaches of power.
