Abstract: This paper will focus on the Dictionary of Moroccan Writers by Salim Jay (Eddif - Paris Méditerranée, 2005). This dictionary offers a heterogeneous representation of the Moroccan literary scene where a multilingual literature, by both native and immigrant writers, thrives. Using this rather unusual dictionary’s specificity as a point of departure, this paper will take a close look at its structure in order to grasp its distinctive properties, as well as assess its contribution to the field of literary knowledge.
