Abstract: This article examines Decio Cinti’s Dictionary of Modern and Classical French Writing in light of its relationship to the linguistic policy of fascism. The dictatorship has a significant impact on French language instruction, and, in consequence, the Dizionarietto expresses its originality by differentiating its selections from the anthological choices found in textbooks used in schools.
