Abstract: In Russian lexicography there is a tendency “to erase” the borders between the philological and encyclopedic dictionary, while the anthropocentric approach begins to play an increasingly important role in the creation of dictionaries. Given the above-mentioned facts, a phraseological (or sentence-based) dictionary and, especially, a bilingual phraseological dictionary should contain a complete description of a PU from various angles –including all possible meanings and features. In this paper, we offer our own point of view on a bilingual Greek-Russian phraseological dictionary containing the most widely-used Greek idioms, collocations, proverbs etc. with carefully selected Russian equivalents and explanations of the use of each PU.
