Abstract: Ph. J. Le Roux’s Dictionnaire (1718), was part of a lineage which, starting from Richelet, going through the subversive entreaties of Libertines and of Burlesque and reunited a nomenclature containing the words of different varieties and registers that were removed by the purist operations. Registering of lost and forbidden words is done through devices that, in keeping with the lexical deregulation of Rabelais, lead to deviation phenomena and set off the “free sense” of words repressed or separated.
