Abstract: This paper studies the contribution of the electronic dictionary to lexical research in technolects. It examines what is an electronic dictionary and what are its distinctive features. Then, it assumes the hypothesis that researches on technolects will necessary deal with fields and with grammatical categories. An example from juridical technolect is analyzed for verifying this hypothesis.
