Abstract: This article puts forward an analysis of the phenomenon of collocations based on an approach which contrasts the French and Albanian language. This approach allows an appreciation of the differences concerning semantic and syntactic particularities in regard to collocations in two different linguistic systems. It also considers the presence of collocations in certain dictionaries.
