Dialogisme et le style de l’échec dans les lettres de Samuel Beckett à Georges Duthuit

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Le Style de Samuel Beckett au miroir épistolaire. 1929-1989
  • Author: Brown (Llewellyn)
  • Abstract: Beckett had distanced himself from the metalanguage of writing about art. And yet, owing to his relation of confidence with Georges Duthuit, he indeed pracised a conceptual and a lyrical langage, which can be understood as a concession to Duthuit, whereas for Beckett, writing must effect the body. In their final separation, we see that it was necessary for Beckett to assertain the gap separating them.
