Abstract: This second collection of papers goes on building a literary history of metaphors, launched with Le Parcours du comparant, an international colloquium of which the proceedings were published in 2014. The twenty-three new contributions, briefly mentioned here, study even more closely the complex – and often surprising – links between verbal representation, moving visions of the world, and revelation of human beings as mere mortals in need of stories.
