Abstract: This article crosses a semiotic approach with a discursive approach of the literary anthology, a didactic genre, which can be seen as a montage of quotes and as composed of detachable texts. The literary extracts typical of this educational genre are brought in under new perspectives which change their original natures and functions, thereby engendering fresh interpretations.
