Abstract: Remission letters, trials, deeds and accounting records contain reported speeches which are the transcriptions of words that were spoken. The various types of texts and reported speeches found in these documents are not of equal value : some of them offer access to transcriptions that are more faithful to the original words; they are also closer to « natural » language according to the theory Kock & Oesterreicher.
