  • Abstract: The place of poison in the cultural imagination is central to the construction of a discourse on scientific and medical practice. This article seeks to illuminate the presence of this discourse in one of the most popular and established British television series : Doctor Who. Focusing on the most recent series, the article describes the way in which, thanks to its serialisation, the assimilation of the poisoned and medicalised body is structured.
