Abstract: All the issues relating to Literature imply the existence of specific values which naturally lead us to ponder the value of the literary work. However implicit or explicit the question is, it is always there. So far, some answers have been provided by major literary critics such as Barthes or Bourdieu as well as some more recent ones, but the issue still remains unsolved: theoritical works are published at regular time intervals, in which the issue is very partially addressed –or which even claim there is no possible dogmatic answer to the question. This publication, which expands and broadens the scope of a series of literary conferences, tries in turn to open up new channels, starting from general considerations, the studies of some poetic, dramatic or novelistic works, and from the connection between literature and politics.
