Abstract: The present study tackles negative mystiques reactivations into contemporary art, from the perspective of the creative process and the aesthetic of reception. What are the current appropriations of the mystical rhetoric inside artistic practice? What is the spiritual experience aroused by the work of art? How is the mystique impacted by art? The paradigm of the “negative way” allows us to reconsider modern day spirituality to free our internal life from any social assignation.
