Abstract: This collective works aims to fill a gap by studying in African fiction the multiple representations of the road, axis of movement but also first link in the conquest of man, the one where he pro-jects himself out of his “at home” to meet adventures, discoveries and potential routs. As the thirteen papers show, the road is an essential place to address the issues of literary and cinematographic mobility.
