Abstract: This article will focus on Francis Carco’s activity as a film columnist for the newspaper Le Figaro between February 26, 1937 and June 22, 1938. Through descriptive analysis of these forty-three columns, we will examine the participation of an established writer in the development of the discourse on cinema. We will also look at Carco’s ties with film in order to spotlight how these articles demonstrate an attraction to the seventh art.
