Abstract: During his trip to the USSR Panaït Istrati met Victor Serge. Beyond politics, they forge bonds of friendship and solidarity examined here in the light of the discovery in 2015 of an unpublished manuscript by Panaït Istrati speaking out against political persecution in the USSR to support Victor Serge unjustly condemned to relegation. After the death of Panaït Istrati, the chain of solidarity woven between those who animate the mobilization for Victor Serge will succeed in obtaining his release.
