Abstract: This paper looks at the way in which Texts for Nothing makes use of the place, the story, the memory, the state of being, the idea of departure, and the idea of the scribe as strategies for “going on”. It considers how each of these strategies involves a refusal or denaturing of the ideas of meaning and knowledge, before situations explored in The Unnamable return, in the second half of this work.
