Abstract: In order to present to the French public in 1575 the world of the Occitan troubadours, Nostredame makes surprising lexical choices, always under the sign of discontinuity (historical differentiation or anachronism). Three examples are considered: the word troubadour, the names of poetic genres, the vocabulary of patronage and trade.
