Abstract: We can consider two main moments : the years 1580-1630 when a poetry in Provençal appears around Aix and Marseille ; then the years 1730 and after when some writers wonder about the troubadours’ existence and establish links with the researches of « provençaliste » scholars. This long period is marked by the permanence of a discourse which does not really change and whose implementation seems completely disconnected from its object, the troubadours’ poetry itself.
